The origins of Aspen Media date back to 2007 with the idea that the biotechnology industry needed to coalesce and become the biotechnology community. With that in mind, we set out to create a daily newsletter, digital in nature, to ensure the timeliness of the content and complimentary to make it available to all. That newsletter would become the Aspen Alert. In the years that followed, what would become Aspen Media has continued to grow, as has the biotechnology community.

The Aspen Alert debuted in 2008 with the stated purpose of making the biotechnology industry a community. To accomplish this, the Aspen Alert was a first-of-its-kind daily newsletter, digital in nature, to ensure the timeliness of the content and complimentary to ensure its availability to all. Alert content has always been guided by four editorial principles: News, Knowledge, Information, and Insights. Over the years, the Alert has evolved, adding content to best serve the ever-changing landscape of biotechnology.

Today, the Aspen Alert is a daily must-read for the community of biotechnology and bioprocessing professionals around the world and continues to be guided by four editorial principles: News, Knowledge, Information, and Insights.

The origins of the Aspen Atheneum date back to 2017, and the recognition that the burgeoning biotechnology community needed a “library” of sorts where industry professionals could exchange ideas and information as well as share experiences. Such a place needed to be more than a location; it needed to be a destination, always open and readily accessible. With that in mind, what would become the Aspen Atheneum began to take shape. It was built online to deliver 24/7 accessibility and leverage the latest technology to ensure seemingly infinite expandability.

Today, the Aspen Atheneum curates the most comprehensive collection of content, thoughts, experiences, and more, dedicated exclusively to biotechnology and bioprocessing.

Like the Aspen Atheneum, the origins of the Aspen Marketplace date back to 2017 and the recognition that the rapidly evolving biotechnology community needed a destination to find qualified solutions to the challenges associated with bioprocessing. Taking that into account, what has become the Aspen Marketplace began to take shape. The Aspen Marketplace has been online so as to best serve the 24/7 nature of bioprocessing, and industry professionals curate the products and services featured.

Today, the Aspen Marketplace features the most complete collection of qualified solutions, products, and services alike, for the ever-changing challenges associated with bioprocessing.

The Aspen Events Calendar can trace its origins back to 2008 with the debut of the “Event” segment of the Aspen Alert. In the years that have followed, the biotechnology community has continued to grow and with it, so have the number of associated events. Recognizing the need for a dedicated location where these events, conferences, seminars, webinars, training, and more, specific to biotechnology and bioprocessing, could be featured led to the creation and debut of the Aspen Events Calendar in 2021.

Today, the Aspen Events Calendar features the most comprehensive collection of events specific to biotechnology and bioprocessing, and it works closely with the Event segment of the Aspen Alert to raise awareness in the biotechnology community.

Like the Aspen Events Calendar, the origins of the Aspen Career Center date back to 2008 and the “Career” segment of the Aspen Alert. In the ensuing years, the biotechnology community has continued to grow, and with it, the demand for qualified candidates to fill open positions. In 2021, recognizing the need for a dedicated site on which these positions specific to biotechnology and bioprocessing could be featured, the Aspen Career Center debuted.

Today, the Aspen Career Center features a comprehensive collection of career opportunities specific to biotechnology and bioprocessing and works closely with the Career segment of the Aspen Alert to raise awareness in the biotechnology community.
